BCRMTA Spring Recital
The Chilliwack Branch of the BC Registered Music Teacher’s Association (BCRMTA) is hosting it’s annual spring recital on Friday, May 29th at the Chilliwack Cultural Center. The evening will feature students from a variety of musical disciplines including piano, violin, and others. All member teachers of the BCRMTA may submit up to 5 students to perform at this event.
The evening maybe divided up into 2 or 3 smaller recitals:
Adult Students
Beginner & Elementary Students
Intermediate & Advanced Students

Student Composer Masterclasses at the Canadian Music Centre
Presented by the BCRMTA Student Composers’ Club in partnership with the Canadian Music Centre, this exciting event invites student composers to submit original works for a masterclass with award-winning Canadian composer Rodney Sharman. Six selected compositions will be featured in a live masterclass on Saturday, May 3, 2026 (2:00–5:00 PM) at the CMC in Vancouver, with written adjudications provided for non-selected submissions and a live Zoom broadcast for all applicants.

Join us for a full day of learning and inspiration with Christine Donkin, a renowned Canadian composer, educator, and clinician. Christine is widely respected for her engaging teaching style and her extensive catalogue of piano and choral works that are performed by students and professionals across Canada and internationally.
This special event will feature masterclasses for students of all levels, a teacher workshop, and a composition workshop designed to spark creativity and musical growth.
